An Easter Message

Father Jeff sends this message in the 2025 Easter Card, which is being delivered to households across the parish:

Dear Friends,

Jesus` last week on earth was lived out in the context of racial oppression, religious upheaval and political unrest.

It was within that context that Jesus was betrayed by friends, falsely accused, unjustly sentenced and suffered a brutal end.

But it was also in that context that new life, reassurance, healing and hope were revealed by His risen presence.

I invite you to join us at St Mary`s for our Holy Week and Easter services as we continue to pray His peace and transforming presence into lives and situations of fear and transition throughout the world.

With blessings and best wishes,

Fr. Jeff Hopkin-Williams

Parish Priest of St Mary`s
