CHILDREN & YOUNG PEOPLE
Our Vision – to nurture our children and young people with a sense of God

Children are an important part of our church community and are welcome to remain in church with their parents during our services.
For young children there is a colouring/activity table and plenty of books for use at all times. The vestry is also available for parents to take their youngsters into, if distraction is needed for a while, at anytime during the service. There are lots of toys, books, puzzles etc. in the baskets and cupboard.

Julie Hall and Judy Britton are our Children's Safeguarding Champions.
SUNDAYS at ST MARY'S
LITTLE FISH
'Little Fish' for newborns to 3.5 year olds and their carer meet during the 9.30am Sunday services, re-starting on 12th January 2025 after the Christmas break. They meet every Sunday in term-time, except third Sundays (when families join the whole service in church.

Please join us in the Vestry after the gradual hymn (the one before the Gospel) for bible stories, songs, prayer and a snack. We will return to church in time for Communion.
Contact Sarah Waller on minnows@stmarytwick.org.uk for more details.
SUNDAY SCHOOL
Starting on 5th January 2025, after the Christmas break, our 3-5.5yrs, 5.5yrs-9yrs and our 9+ Sunday schools run every week at 9.30 in term time, excluding 3rd Sundays of the month when we all worship together in the Church.
We offer an informal act of worship for Scramblers and Explorers in the Church Hall followed by Sunday School activities for different age groups:

-
Scamblers - for 3-5½ year olds
-
The session includes a Bible story or song and the opportunity to make something related to the theme of the session. Parents collect their children and return to church for Communion.
-
-
Explorers - for 5½ - 8 year olds
-
The session usually includes discussion and often a game followed by an activity based around a Bible story. The children are brought back to church in time for Communion.
-
-
Adventurers & SMG - for 8 years and above.
-
Our 8-11s and 11+ groups meet together to share the gospel of the day or a Bible reading. It is a chance for them to worship together, be curious about Christianity and wonder about life. The group returns to the church in time for the Eucharistic Prayer as preparation for receiving Communion (if they have chosen to be admitted to taking Communion before Confirmation).
